Rays' Pitchers & Catchers: Day 3 in Port Charlotte

No Hellickson today, but many of the players seemed to be in good spirits at the outset.  The pitchers ran the outside of the quad and back (over half a mile) after all the drills were completed, and before their post-drills workouts. My guess is that means a little easier day tomorrow.

These guys work hard and still have fun.

And one thing for sure, Bobby is always willing to talk!

Davis, Niemann, Sonnanstine probably talking fishing!

Shoppach looks to have shed some pounds and is hitting the ball well in the BP.

Desmond Jennings is another one who is patient and friendly with fans.  Nice kid!

Chirinos continues to impress with the bat, hits to all fields with some pop and has a smooth & relaxed swing.

This sign has a double meaning with the infestation in Port Charlotte!

Looks like whatever Joe said went right over his head.

Jaso was impressive with the bat again today...

but even more impressive by staying around to sign...

and take pictures with every fan who asked! Long after all the others were gone.

What a great thing that Joe's lunch at FanFest tomorrow sold out
                       and raised $10,000 for charity
